Peekaboo / poster designs
We’re gearing up for the Peekaboo‘s premiere at Slamdance, and that means printing limited runs of posters and postcards for the event.
Looking back to vintage vacation posters, I sought to generate a nostalgic “grand resort” feel, while hinting toward the tension in the overall narrative. Peekaboo plays in Park City January 22th and January 25th. To see the Slamdance schedule / buy tickets, Click here.
Back from Italy!
Cecimonster is back from a four month teaching assignment in Florence, Italy! Saw a lot of good art, taught some amazing students, and met great filmmakers at the Zinebi Film Festival in Bilbao, Spain.
We’re coming back to the United States with the international premiere of Peekaboo at Slamdance Film Festival.

Peekaboo / character & object design
The design of characters and objects in Peekaboo reflect the Googie-style design that dominates Florida.
The WOMAN character is tall and slender, designed in unison with the compact OWNER character to show the contrast in their personalities and capabilities.
The opening sequence of Peekaboo chronicles a journey to a resort. The signage and materials in the film reflect the design reference.
